Emergency Vehicle & Playground Expansion
RCI was retained to provide permitting and design services in support of a 10,000 sf playground expansion and emergency vehicle accessibility project. Our specific scope of work included surveying, civil site design, construction staking and construction inspection services.
Conceptual Drainage Study
As a part of the required permitting, RCI was tasked with preparing a Conceptual Drainage Study to ensure existing and proposed on-site flows could be accommodated without adversely impacting downstream properties. The design involved ADA accessibility, hardscape area for basketball court and other activities, grass play area that also has storm water detention storage capability, an extension of the Ivy Street paving, curb and gutter, all-weather emergency vehicle access, chain link fencing and gates, and storm drainage improvements.
Agency & Community Coordination
Work associated with this project included coordination with church/school administration, Carson City permitting, and neighbors, as well as coordination with the Carson City School District who is the downstream recipient of area storm water flows.
