Senior Water Rights Surveyor

Ms. McDaniel has worked in water rights throughout Nevada for many years and brings a great depth of knowledge regarding Nevada’s unique water challenges. We are delighted to welcome her to the RCI team.

Prior to joining the RCI team, Ms. McDaniel served as the Chief of the Well Drilling Regulations and Adjudications sections at the Nevada Division of Water Resources, where she was instrumental in the development of the 2020 adopted Regulation for Water Well and Related Drilling, NAC 534. With over 9 years at the Division, she had the opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of Nevada Water Law, including: Water rights, water use and reporting, water level measurements, surface water flow measurements, well drilling regulations, adjudications, field investigations, rulings, orders, and dam safety inspections.

Ms. McDaniel holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and an associate degree in math from Western Nevada College. She is a licensed professional engineer and water rights surveyor in the State of Nevada.

An active member of the Nevada Water Resources Association, Ms. McDaniel has co-chaired the association’s annual conference three times and is a member of the annual conference planning committee.
