Resource Concepts, Inc. has expertise in the regulatory permitting, design, operation and closure of landfills and various solid waste facilities. Our understanding of the regulatory and operational aspects of solid waste, combined with our experience with varied terrain, ground cover and soils enables us to integrate the needs of the project in an environmentally conscious and cost effective manner.
Our technical experience primarily includes preparing Report of Design, Operation Plan, and Closure & Post-Closure documents; preparing waste/soil volume, loading rate and life cycle calculations; hydrologic analyses and hydraulic design; multiple waste cell development and phasing plans; grading and slope stability; leachate collection and gas monitoring; site and access design; and, solid waste management plans.
Recent project examples include:
Carson City Solid Waste Operating Plan – Carson City, Nevada: RCI was responsible for preparing the 2009 Solid Waste Operating Plan, for the Carson City Class I and Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. The revised plan involved updates to the projected life cycle and waste streams, personnel and equipment, mapping and site operation procedures.
Carson City Air Quality Permit – Carson City, Nevada: RCI was the project manager for the 2009 Air Quality Permit Renewal, for the Carson City Class I and Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. The revised permit involved coordinating air quality monitoring and analyses, and issuing a revised report to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP).
Eureka County Solid Waste Management Plan – Eureka County, Nevada: RCI was responsible for preparing the 2005 Solid Waste Management Plan, on behalf of Eureka County, for submittal to NDEP. The plan replaced the previous 1997 plan and involved updates to the projected life cycle and waste streams, methods of waste pick-up and delivery, enforcement of codes, personnel and equipment, mapping and site operation procedures,
