Mr. Solt moved to Reno from California’s Central Valley to attend the University of Nevada, Reno where he studied Art with a Photography emphasis. With a growing family, he decided to take advantage of an opportunity to begin a survey career with his brother in Redwood City, California as a Survey CAD Technician. He later transferred to Great Basin College (GBC) with an Associate of Arts degree and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Science program for Land Surveying and Geomatics. Mr. Solt is a Land Surveyor In Training (LSIT), working to obtain his Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification in Nevada.
His experience includes working as a Survey CAD Technician and field surveyor, involved with the preparation and completion of Parcel Maps, Final Maps, Legal Descriptions and Plats, Easements, Records of Survey, Lot Line Adjustments, Condominium Plans, ALTA’s, and Topographic Surveys. He assisted in developing a productive workflow for the survey department by generating auto linework in AutoCAD and guided field crews in correctly coding the information in data collectors. This resulted in an increase in productivity.
Mr. Solt joins RCI as a Survey Party Chief. He serves as an experienced and a valuable leader, training staff in the field and working with our in-house CAD mapping specialists. His experience with Trimble Total Station S5, S6 and S7, Trimble GPS Receivers R10, R8, 5800 and associated radios/repeaters, Trible TSC3/2, Digital Level, Auto Level and Faro Scanner, as well as his proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2019, Trible Business Center, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
