Commitment to Community

Since RCI was founded in 1978, giving back to our community has been an area of continuing involvement and quiet participation. RCI is deeply committed to the communities we serve. Frequently, RCI’s contributions are in the form of time or professional services and expertise.

For over thirty years, RCI has been represented on the Governing Board of the Carson City Senior Citizens Center. We have provided technical support and services for the initial facility construction, as well as the expansion which doubled the size.

RCI staff volunteer and serve on the Boards for many local non-profit organizations including the Virginia City Food Pantry, the Friends of the Silver Saddle Ranch, Muscle Powered, the Eagle Valley Children’s Home, the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources of the University of Nevada.

Many other contributions of RCI staff are made in numerous ways. RCI has served through direct participation of firm members on the Carson City School Board, the Nevada Wildlife Commission, the Carson City Open Space Advisory Committee, the State Board for Financing Water Projects, the UNR Council on Agricultural Research Extension and Teaching, the Carson City Parks and Recreation Commission and the Carson City Utility Finance Oversight Committee.

RCI also makes donations to support local needs and activities. These include schools, sports teams, community needs, crisis non-profit organizations, and veteran’s groups. RCI is passionate about helping our communities and these important support groups to be successful.

RCI is headquartered in a restored historic house in Carson City’s Historic District, and we pride ourselves on being a good neighbor and a watchful steward of this priceless resource. Read more about the history of our historic office.
